Hello, friends of Tig-Le, As we enter November, the end of the term is fast approaching; we are looking at extending some sessions to run this summer. It has been another vibrant term at Tig-Le House, and it is always a joy to share mindfulness and the Dharma with so many people. Thank you to everyone for your participation. Looking ahead, we have confirmed dates and times for weekly sessions and retreats in 2025, with more opportunities to join in. Grab a cuppa, have a read. Wishing everyone wellness and happiness. Monday Mindfulness All are welcome to join any sessions; it’s an open house at 7pm. The teachings of traditional mindfulness are shared and discussed along with practising together. The final session this term is on Monday, 2nd December. Wednesday Dharma Study and Practice Group Each year, we run through Three Vehicles of training starting in the first term with an exploration of the Theravada Dhamma tradition. This is followed by meditations and teachings of the Mahayana Seven-Point Mind Training techniques attributed to Atisha. We finish the year with a study and ceremonial meditative practices founded in the Tibetan Vajrayana Diamond Vehicle. It is traditional to explore each in turn, building an understanding of practice sequentially. It is a prerequisite to have attended regular mindfulness training before joining. This is for the mental safety and stability of everyone involved and the group. Thursday Mindful Walking Group We walk purposefully in silence, discovering how to move calmly and peacefully through life. Insights into mindful walking are shared each week, and there is an opportunity to discuss practice afterwards. All are welcome, 9am. Locations are notified via our Facebook messenger group. We are currently meeting at Rendall Close Bridge aside the Wooditchup Bilya, Margaret River. ![]() Peaceful Vajrapani Wongkur Ceremonies We have a few ceremonies continuing into early December. The next is on Sunday, 24th November, Wongkur to Vajrapani, the protector of Bodhi, safeguarding the mind of awakening. All are welcome to attend; it’s an open house. Please arrive 10 – 20 minutes early to settle in for a 10:30 am start. You are invited to stay for a cup of tea afterwards. Online Mindfulness and Dharma Sessions for 2025 We are in the process of setting up Tig-Le to be able to offer hybrid mindfulness and dharma sessions that combine online and in-person classes, and we look forward to making this available beginning from the first term in 2025. We do need someone to help us by administering Zoom during the sessions; we will provide all the equipment and set up the meeting links, schedules, and communications. The helper role can be done remotely or from the Tig-Le studio, allowing me to concentrate on delivering teaching. We would be very grateful if anyone could step in and help us. Others wanting to access these teachings online will be deeply appreciative. Providing inclusive access to mindfulness in this way has become vital. It can be the only means for some people to attend. To register for online sessions, please send a request to tiglehouse@gmail.com Other Happenings ![]() Permaculture Design Certificate courses with Fair Harvest The next one runs from the 12th to the 26th of January 2025.
